Diversity & Inclusion

Body

All for one another.

At Saint Mary’s College, we are creating a community that goes beyond the tolerance of differences to one guided by social justice, cultural competence, and engaged citizenship.

Our responsibility to advocate for all members of our community and celebrate diverse cultures and backgrounds is crucial to determining the character of our legacy.

44 Days of Black History

Saint Mary’s College is proud to announce the sixth annual 44 Days—the College’s signature celebration of Black history, scholarship, culture, and excellence. Hosted by the Black Leadership Coalition (BLC), along with numerous campus and community partners, 44 Days encompasses a series of talks, workshops, and events from February 11 to March 26, centered on this year’s theme: “Making a Joyful Noise.”

A More Inclusive Community

Our College Committee on Inclusive Excellence (CCIE) is dedicated to creating a culture in which all members are valued, respected, and supported. Guided by social justice, cultural competence, and engaged citizenship, CCIE works to build an inclusive community by making structural and policy changes and raising awareness of issues that require a change in our community.
